Adaptive Threshold Residual Energy-Based Efficient Sensor Network Protocol (ATREEN)

Wireless sensor network (WSN) hierarchical (clustering) routing involves the gathering of nodes to form clusters in which node communicates cluster head (CH). The CH is responsible for data aggregation and forwarding collected toward base station (BS). Energy expenditure usual protocols becomes unequal because having diverse lengths. In this paper, we propose another new enhanced clustering protocol called adaptive threshold residual energy-based efficient (ATREEN) selection WSNs. ATREEN, CHs are chosen by comparing value with respect distance between member CH, energy nodes, position BS. Simulation results show that ATREEN extends lifetime stability decline dissipation compared such as low-energy hierarchy (LEACH), power-efficient information systems (PEGASIS), distributed energy-efficient (DEEC) scheme heterogeneous
